This Situation Saturday we would like to provide an update on the two reported employee cases of COVID-19 at Springbrook.
In the first reported Covid-19 case, a staff member of one of the School at Springbrook’s residences reported a presumed positive. Based on this report, we enacted all of our Covid-19 safety protocols including isolation, testing, and notification. The employee’s final test results came back negative. All other tests issued for students and staff members of the home location also came back negative.
The second Covid-19 case, reported by a member of our clinical team, was confirmed positive. In response, the School at Springbrook Day Program and the Kids Unlimited Preschool were immediately closed for deep cleaning. The programs both safely resumed operations on Monday, July 27, cleared by the Otsego County Department of Public Health Department. All families and staff directly affected by the positive case were contacted and given instructions by their County Health Departments.
