To the Springbrook community:
As COVID-19 continues to change the way we interact and support the more than 1,100 people who choose Springbrook to deliver services and supports, I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts and a message of thanks to our staff. Your strength and courage, your dedication and compassion, your resolve and fortitude throughout this situation is inspiring, and the essential service you are delivering is appreciated more than words can express.
Taste of the Town
This new donor-funded program has many benefits. First, we are glad to take the responsibility of cooking off of staff and residents by bringing favorite takeout options to our on-campus and Community Homes. We are also so happy to support local restaurants during this time, so we can continue to have vibrant communities surrounding our more than 30 physical locations spread across six counties once life returns to “normal.”
Emergency Sick TIme Relief
- If a Springbrook employee must be out of work because they are quarantined, isolated, or awaiting the results of a test by order of their healthcare provider, and does not have enough sick time to cover the time, Springbrook will provide the sick time pay up to 14-days to cover the time away.
- If a Springbrook employee tests positive for COVID-19, Springbrook will ensure (through various methods) that the employee receives their normal pay for the entire time they are out sick. These methods will include options like short term disability or paid family leave, but rest assured Springbrook will supplement these methods to ensure that employees receive their full pay check if out sick with COVID-19.
One Time Thank You Payment
On Thursday, April 2, those employees providing direct support to our students and residents, as well as those employees directly supporting the health and safety of our DSPs and residents, will receive a special thank you check as a token of our appreciation. We hope this one-time thank you payment will help during this time to ease financial stress you might be feeling, and we hope it shows how much you mean to us, and the people you support.
