Latte Lounge Expands Space at The Ford on Main

Oneonta, NY: Latte Lounge owners Jaclyn and Adrian Origoni are excited to announce the expansion of their storefront at the Ford on Main to 196-192 Main Street, Oneonta, New York. Renovations are expected to begin this summer and continue through 2024. The Latte Lounge has been on Main Street since 2000 when former owner Dave Zummo opened the café and eatery. The Origoni’s purchased Latte Lounge from Mr. Zummo in October 2019. Latte Lounge provides hand-crafted lattes, iced coffees, prepared baked goods, and foods from their kitchen.

Mrs. Origoni was born and raised in Oneonta and is an alumnus of Oneonta High School (OHS) and the State University of New York at Oneonta (SUNY Oneonta). Mr. Origoni has lived and worked in Oneonta for 30 years. Jaclyn and Adrian Origoni have raised their family here and are well-established within the greater community. The Latte Lounge and the Origoni family are enthusiastic about the expansion into 192 Main Street, affirming their dedication to downtown.

“We’re excited to continue our role downtown of providing a safe and welcoming place to locals, families, students, and visitors to the area. We aim to deliver the best goods at great value, and this expansion will support our ongoing efforts,” said Mrs. Origoni. The expansion will create an additional dining area, expand their prep space and kitchen, and create more job opportunities at the café. The Origoni’s are excited to provide training and employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their proximity to the new Springbrook Employment Hub at the Ford on Main will encourage partnerships between community members and people interested in beginning or progressing their employment.

The expansion of Latte Lounge to 192 Main Street marks a significant step forward for the business, the Ford on Main, and the overall vibrancy of downtown. With their deep roots in the area and a long-standing commitment to providing quality goods and a welcoming atmosphere, the Origoni family is well poised to continue their role as a beacon of warmth, hospitality, and opportunity in the heart of Oneonta.

The City of Oneonta was named a Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) round 1 winner in 2016. The Ford on Main project received $885,000 from the Downtown Improvement Fund as part of the DRI. The Downtown Improvement Fund made 52 total awards that funded façade improvements and added 24 units of housing to the downtown. Other projects that were awarded DRI funding include the Dietz Street Lofts, the Market Street Transportation Improvements Project, and the City of Oneonta Branding and Marketing Campaign.
