Capstone Day Habilitation
Enter any classroom on a typical day at Springbrook’s Capstone Day Habilitation Program and you might find a group of adults with developmental disabilities baking cookies, listening to the day’s news headlines, working together on jigsaw puzzles, crafting terrariums, or just enjoying some quiet time with a book.
Or, perhaps you will meet a group of Capstone participants while they are out volunteering at Saturday’s Bread, the Oneonta Methodist Church, or the Susquehanna Animal Shelter Thrift Shop. New experiences, learning by doing, being an engaged member of the community, these concepts are at the core of Springbrook’s Capstone Day Habilitation Program—made possible by thoughtful and creative staff members who take the time to understand and get to know each person in the program.
