For this Thinking Thursday we wanted to do something a little different and share some of our favorite “signature” cocktails from galas of the past. Why cocktails for Thinking Thursday? Every aspect of the gala is carefully planned, from the table cloths to the band that plays. Each year we feature a cocktail that compliments the theme of the event, and deciding which drink to feature requires more thought than you may realize!
Depending on what you have in your pantry—and the year you were born—you may be able to experience one of these delicious beverages this evening.
The Springbrook Ginger Mule—a refreshing blend of ginger beer, lime, and vodka served over ice—received rave reviews from guests of the 2018 Gala. This delicious cocktail has stood the test of time since 1941, and that is no surprise given the simplicity of the recipe and the crisp, delicious taste. So how do you make this fantastic cocktail? It’s easy!
First, fill your glass with crushed ice. Pour 1.5 oz of your favorite vodka, 4 oz of ginger ale (or ginger beer if you prefer a little spice in your life), and 1.5 oz of Lime Juice over the ice. Garnish your cup with a fresh lime slice and enjoy responsibly.
Cheers!
