Congress is in the final stages of finalizing its budget reconciliation bill, which, according to our partners from ANCOR, will determine whether Congress will deliver on the President’s promise to strengthen and expand Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). The COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the DSP workforce crisis, resulting in high turnover and forcing providers to discontinue services, turn away new referrals, delay the launch of new programs, and struggle to adhere to quality standards.
