Springbrook’s biggest day of giving is coming up on September 20th! Mohawk Valley Gives is a 24-hour event that aims to rally support for nonprofit organizations serving the Herkimer, Oneida, and Otsego regions, and this year, Springbrook is excited to take part in the day of giving.
Giving to Springbrook supports a variety of programs that aim to empower people with developmental disabilities to live the life they choose. One of these programs is Special Olympics, which includes Springbrook Scorpions soccer, basketball, track & field, and cross country teams. This also includes Sprouts, the young athlete program for children ages two to seven. Special Olympics is a favorite among many at Springbrook as it offers the chance to form new friendships with teammates, travel to competitions, and learn new skills. Participating in Special Olympics builds confidence in athletes, and they take great pride in being Springbrook Scorpions! Donating to Springbrook supports Special Olympics, from refreshing team uniforms and equipment to hosting tournaments like the Annual Springbrook Special Olympics Basketball Invitational.
