In partnership with Springbrook, Hartwick College is offering EmpowerU @ Hartwick, an immersive program designed to enhance and expand learning experiences and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Students will build valuable work skills while experiencing college life, take lectures, make lasting connections, and earn recognition with a certificate of completion to celebrate their achievements.

EmpowerU @ Hartwick College is a two-year transformative program that immerses students in the vibrant campus community through attending lectures, participating in social events, and experiencing the world of higher education. Students will gain hands-on experience on campus and build a supportive network through friendships and connections with Hartwick students and staff.

“Springbrook is thrilled to partner with Hartwick for this exciting opportunity,” said Kimberly Corbett, executive director of Springbrook Community Connections. “EmpowerU at Hartwick will create opportunities for people with disabilities to embark on their college experience with support and inclusion. We look forward to seeing the growth of this program and are grateful to Hartwick College for the opportunity to partner on such an important and needed program.”
