Ready to establish new and meaningful connections with the people we support? The Springbrook Scorpions basketball team is looking for a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
The season runs from February to mid-June. As a role model, you will teach important basketball skills while helping athletes build character and self-esteem, and discover their strengths! A great attitude is a must to promote athletes to be the best they can be.
Responsibilities include coaching, planning, and executing practices, attending games, and traveling with the team for tournaments. An understanding of the rules of the sport is important but not imperative. All applicants must be First Aid, and CPR certified. General Session Special Olympics training and Protective Behaviors Special Olympics training will need to be completed after being hired. A background check through Special Olympics New York will also be required.
