Tom and Amy Maggs

An Evening of Music at the Morgan Being Held, Tom and Amy Maggs Honored

Oneonta, NY: An Evening of Music, a fundraising event held at the Morgan Library & Museum, takes place the evening of Wednesday, November 1st. This event features world-renowned musicians Carmit Zori and Robert Rinehart. This event includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a light dinner, followed by a performance of chamber music by Violinist Carmit Zori, Violist Robert Rinehart, and Cellist Eric Bartlett.  Springbrook will present the inaugural Springbrook Founders Award to long-time supporters and Springbrook Board of Directors President Tom Maggs and his wife, Amy Maggs.

Every year since 2016, parents Ms. Zori and Mr. Rinehart have hosted An Evening of Music at the Morgan Library & Museum. This event was inspired by their son, Danny, and his time at Springbrook. It was there that Carmit and Robert saw the positive growth and extraordinary experience that their son was having. This event brings together people whose shared interest is supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities over an evening of chamber music.

The Springbrook Founders Award will be presented annually to an individual or couple who has passionately devoted their efforts to the unwavering realization of the mission and vision of Springbrook and for being an outstanding ambassador for our organization. This accolade embodies not only their steadfast commitment but also their profound generosity in providing invaluable financial support. The Springbrook Founders Award celebrates the people whose legacy is intertwined with the very essence of our cause. This year, the award will be presented by Springbrook to Tom and Amy Maggs. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Maggs have given their financial support, time, and lifelong commitment to Springbrook. They have supported and advocated for Springbrook for 18 consecutive years, including the launch of the inaugural An Evening of Music fundraiser. Mr. and Mrs. Maggs will be presented with the inaugural Springbrook Founders Award at the event.

Tom and Amy Maggs are humbled by the award and shared the following: “We are honored to receive this special recognition from an organization we respect so deeply. Our family is inspired by each and every member of the Springbrook community, and we look forward to sharing a magical evening with you to benefit a great cause!”
