One of his favorite social activities is karaoke night with friends, where he proudly sings “Circle of Life” from Disney’s The Lion King movie.

Staying active is an important part of Colin’s routine. He enjoys walking in the community, jumping at the trampoline park, and spending time outdoors. His love for animals is especially evident when he volunteers to walk dogs at the Broome County Humane Society. Colin’s enthusiasm and positive energy often make these moments just as enjoyable for the people around him.

Colin also shines through his volunteer work throughout Broome County. At ALDI in Johnson City, he helps organize shelves and ensure items are returned to their proper places. At the Lee Barta Community Center, he assists by organizing bike parts and helping with the food pantry. Being helpful is one of Colin’s defining qualities. At home, he regularly lends a hand with everyday tasks such as shoveling snow, washing the car, cleaning the pool, and helping in the kitchen.

Family plays an important role in Colin’s life. He shares a strong bond with his father, Randy, and his older brother, Graeme. Together they spend time hiking, camping, shopping, and enjoying outdoor activities. One memorable attempt at riding a tandem bike has become a family story that still brings laughter. Colin especially enjoys hiking in the woods with his dad, where he likes pulling down dead branches along the trail. He also enjoys playing the video game Just Dance and basketball with peers.

Randy and Graeme say they are most proud of Colin’s loving and affectionate personality and the progress he has made in developing his speech and communication. They also admire his gentle nature with animals—something that stands out to anyone who sees him interacting with them.

Among Colin’s many accomplishments are graduating from Pathfinder Village and completing the Color Run 5K in Cooperstown, NY, alongside his family. Both milestones reflect his determination and joyful approach to new challenges.
