May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Taking care to understand and be aware of one’s mental health needs, as well as those of others, is important to the health and wellbeing of yourself and those around you. Mental health issues can affect anyone at any time. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, mental illness affects approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. per year. Every day, the direct support professionals and care teams at Springbrook provide support to students at the school and those who live in community homes, and in the community. Every day, the staff and people who choose the services at Springbrook work together to look out for the health of one another, so that they can continue to live happy and healthy lives.
