Love is in the air! Today, at Springbrook’s Capstone Day Habilitation Program, staff and participants celebrated Valentine’s Day. Everyone dressed festively in red, pink, and white, and sweet treats were shared amongst friends. When asked about what Valentine’s Day means to him, Chris Vance shared that Valentine’s Day makes him think of his wife and his friends and exclaimed, “it’s the day of love!” A resident of Springbrook community homes baked a beautiful heart-shaped cake with pink frosting to share with everyone, and there were also festive treats with Jell-O and fruit snacks. The room was filled with laughter, friends catching up, and people posing for pictures in their festive outfits. We had such a wonderful time at day hab’s Valentine’s Day party and hope everyone spends time with their loved ones on this “day of love.”
