Springbrook Community Services Thanks Cortland Business Partners
The month of October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), and Springbrook Community Services is recognizing all of the businesses that have partnered with them to create employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Springbrook opened a Community Services location in Cortland in March 2023 and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in August 2023. Springbrook’s Community Services include programs such as Self-Direction, Housing Navigation, and Employment Services, supporting people with disabilities in all areas of life. Employment Services include support like individualized coaching, classroom training, assistance with the interview and application process, and more. The aim is to provide support and resources, alongside encouraging staff, tailored to the goals of people utilizing the service so that they can confidently take their first steps into employment.
By partnering with Springbrook, businesses can create a more inclusive work environment and welcome passionate employees. Springbrook would like to thank Walgreens, Applebees, Papa Bears, Arnolds Florist, McLean Fire Hall, SUNY Cortland, Grand Union Bakery, Cortland SPCA, McDonald Sports Complex, Cortland Child Care Center, and Elizabeth Brewster House for their partnership
