Springbrook Physical Therapist Assistant Mary Dolan starts us up with an exercise tip to try this week: “The chair stand exercise is a great way for participants and staff to get the blood flowing for good circulation and to help warm up muscles to prevent joint stiffness. This exercise is best practiced several times a day. A convenient time to perform this exercise is during TV commercial breaks. If you are practicing this with a resident, or at home with a family member, and they need assistance, be sure to help as needed.”
