Capstone Day Habilitation Program

Enter any classroom on a typical day at Springbrook’s Capstone Day Habilitation (DayHab) Program, and you might find a group of adults baking cookies, listening to the day’s news headlines, working together on jigsaw puzzles, crafting terrariums, or just enjoying some quiet time with a book.

DayHab participants enjoy volunteering throughout the community at things like the Oneonta Methodist Church, the Susquehanna Animal Shelter, and local libraries. New experiences, learning by doing, and being an engaged member of the community—these concepts are at the core of the Capstone Day Habilitation Program, made possible by thoughtful and creative staff members who take the time to understand and get to know each person in the program.
