Fall is a great time to get outside and take a walk in the woods! Springbrook’s Nature Trail, located on the grounds of our main campus has been a wonderful resource for residents, families, and staff. The trail consists of over 2 miles of pathways that lead to some very impressive views – made even more beautiful by the vibrant colors of autumn.

Current access to the trailhead requires driving into campus, so for now the trail system is only open to Springbrook community members. However, we are seeking funding to construct more comprehensive access to the trail, including a new road and parking lot, which will provide an alternate route and trail entry available for public use.

There is no shortage of ideas and inspiration for the future of our wonderful outdoor resource! Funded by a grant from the J. M. MacDonald Foundation, a picnic area, exercise stations, nature interpretation signage, and sensory activity stations will soon be added to further enhance the trail experience.

We are fortunate to have this outdoor space for recreation, exercise, and social activity, but we know that without the donations and grants generously given to our cause, the Nature Trail wouldn’t exist!
