Summer is here and what better time to enjoy the great outdoors! Springbrook’s Trails run through woods and open fields on the hill above our school – a great place to explore and appreciate the sights, sounds, and scents of nature. Thanks to a grant from the J.M. McDonald Foundation, hikers can choose from two picnic stations to enjoy a break along the trail!

Additional improvements to the trail system are being planned with the help of another grant from NY State – including exercise/play elements, sensory stations, and interpretive materials for learning about the plants, birds, animals, and natural features found here. For now, the trail is only open to the Springbrook community, but eventually, we hope to connect road access and parking so that the public can enjoy this great resource too.

Thanks again to the J.M. McDonald Foundation and others who have contributed to the development of the Nature Trail thus far. We’re very excited about the potential for this project – if you are too, you can support it with your gift by texting SPRINGBROOK to 243-725 or with the button below!
