It is Situation Saturday again! Today we would like to remind families and friends that as Otsego County (along with other parts of New York State) begins phased reopening, Springbrook’s visitation restrictions remain in place. These restrictions are for the safety of the people we support and our staff. They are based on the expert opinion of our clinical team and the restrictions still in place statewide through New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, Springbrook’s primary oversight agency.
Knowing the Risks of Reopening
As parts of the state begin reopening, we also want to pass along a valuable article (shared by Springbrook’s Chief Clinical Officer, Kathy Ramiza) about knowing the risks of reopening and how you can avoid them. Remember to keep your mask on in public (and stay at least 6 feet away from other people), continue practicing social distancing, and keep washing your hands. These are just a few simple ways you can stay safe and healthy as New York begins to reopen.
