This Take a Look Tuesday we are highlighting Lukas Shaw! Lukas is a Teaching Assistant for the School at Springbrook Golisano Program. His enthusiasm and dedication are what we look for in our Direct Support Professionals. Lukas says, “It may be cheesy, but the students teach me just as much as I teach them. The feeling you get when you make them smile is a reason for me to get up in the morning.” Lukas has boundless energy and is truly passionate about helping the students he works with develop, explaining “there is always something to do with the students, whether it is sitting down to watch TV, or get ready for school, if it is a school day, and performing goal work. I want them to know I care for them and I am here to help them.” Keep up the great work Lukas!
