Today we are celebrating Alexis Gonzalez for her 5-year milestone accomplishment! Alexis is a certified teaching assistant for the GEMS/Golisano program at the School at Springbrook. Alexis formerly worked in community homes for Springbrook but decided to pursue education when she witnessed a student achieve a learning goal they had been working on.
For Alexis, seeing students learn and grow makes every day successful. She shared that “working at Springbrook has changed my perspective on special education and the needs of those who can not voice their needs.” Alexis prioritizes building relationships with her students and encourages new Springbrook employees to spend time understanding their students first.
