Springbrook is pleased to congratulate Evgenia Bonhotal, Roseann O’Neill, and Rachael Scoones, our newest Springbrook Scholars! Each employee shares our values, our dreams, and our passion to provide services to people with developmental disabilities. Thanks to our generous donors, these employees join other Springbrook Scholars in their pursuit of free or reduced-cost educational opportunities.
Evgenia Bonhotal
Evgenia is currently working as an individual program coordinator in our Chenango County community homes and is continuing her Master of Social Work degree at Binghamton University.
“I am pursuing my masters in social work so that I can learn about and experience the numerous levels of social services that can be offered. I seek to understand and support individuals with disabilities within my profession. I would like to utilize my education and practice to support a range of individuals and families who need assistance in overcoming obstacles.””
Roseann O’Neill
Roseann, a non-certified teaching assistant at Scriven house, will begin working towards her Bachelors in Applied Psychology through the University of Phoenix.
“I have decided to continue my education and earn my degree in Psychology. I have been with Springbrook for 16 years, and I am grateful for the opportunity to grow within my position here. I really enjoy my job and working with children with autism has taught me a lot.”
Rachael Scoones
Rachel is a recreational therapist on the Main Campus and will begin working towards her Masters in Recreational Therapy at SUNY Cortland.
“Pursuing a degree in Recreational Therapy has always been a goal of mine. In my current position at Springbrook, I would be able to better serve the people I provide services to. It allows me to dive deeper and keep finding new ideas to get the residents more engaged and offer more activities they will enjoy.”
