10 years or more is an incredible milestone for a career, especially in this day and age when people change jobs often and the average time in a position is just over four years. Congratulations to Patricia Snyder on reaching her 10-year Springbrook Milestone! Patricia began her Springbrook career in 1986, in the nursing department, where she worked until 1997. After a 14-year hiatus exploring other occupational opportunities, Patricia came back to Springbrook. She retired from full-time work in 2014, but continues to work part-time. “I returned after exploring other opportunities and felt the need to return to my favorite people,” she said. “It’s always great meeting staff at all the homes on campus and I still stay in touch with many to this day.” Thank you for your years of service, Patricia, and congratulations on your Milestone achievement.

Congratulations to Wendy Johnson on reaching her 15-year Springbrook Milestone! “I have been with Springbrook for many years and I have enjoyed my tenure here as a special education teacher immensely,” she said. “While I was hired to be an educator, my students teach me something new every day. At the end of any rough day, a simple smile from one of the students can change my entire mood.” Wendy is dedicated and goal-oriented, always sure that each student’s individualized needs come first. Wendy says that a lot of what she gets out of Springbrook is the satisfaction of doing something great and making a difference in each student’s life.
