You're Invited! - Springbrook Gala 2011

The snow is just about gone and spring is finally here! With it comes our 6th annual gala on Saturday, April 9th at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown. We’ve been working hard all winter to make sure that this year’s gala is the most exciting and memorable of them all. Everyone here at Springbrook would like to extend an invitation to you, as a gracious and valued member of our Springbrook community, to attend this special and unforgettable experience.

This year’s gala will honor Springbrook’s Coming Home Expansion Partners, including all those whose generosity made the School at Springbrook construction project a reality. As you may know, the $22.5 million project broke ground last July and will bring 24 more children to Springbrook, and 112 new permanent jobs to Otsego County. Guests at the gala will have the opportunity to enjoy cocktails, dinner, entertainment by Doc Scalon’s Rhythm Boys and, new this year, a casino night (guests will be given currency to start). The casino will offer guests the chance to play a hand for Springbrook and take home a number of large prizes, including a weekend trip for four to The Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida.

It is true that the casino’s prizes will be quite extravagant, but when you take away the glitz, glamour, and bright lights of Springbrook’s annual gala the night is not much different than what Springbrook experiences every day. You will find laughter between Springbrook students and community members, the shared vision of Springbrook’s mission between its employees, the partnerships between community members and local businesses, and the joint effort to grow off of Springbrooks inspiring past and continue to reach for its bright future.

In short, it is a celebration. A celebration of all things Springbrook, and by that we mean the best things.

This is Springbrook’s biggest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds will go toward our Annual Fund, which supplements the educational, residential, and community services we provide. To make a reservation, request an official invitation or ask questions, please contact Beth Peterson at x. 283 or
