There's No Place Like Springbrook For the Holidays

Last week Springbrook students and participants geared up for Christmas.  The decorations came out, the celebrations started and Santa even came for a visit.

The week started with students from the School at Springbrook coming to decorate the Springbrook Christmas Tree.  The students did a great job of making the tree really stand out.  On Wednesday, Santa stopped by the Kids Unlimited Preschool to see what everyone wanted for Christmas.  Requests ranged from dolls to trains, stuff animals to blocks and clothes to puppies.  Santa offered everyone tube socks, but none of the kids seemed to want them!

The Cook Street Community Home held their Annual Holiday Luncheon on Wednesday.  Staff and residents from the house prepared a holiday feast for lunch and had lots of sweet treats for dessert.  Springbrook employees from various departments on campus and other Community Homes to went out to help ring in the holiday.

Students and staff at the School at Springbrook held a door decorating contest organized by the applied physical education staff.  Themes ranged from Winter Wonderlands to Holidays Around the World to Santa's Visit.  The Let it Snow theme designed by Nicole's class won the special LeChase Construction movie package prize.  Wendy's classroom, who designed a 3D scene of Santa delivering presents, won a pizza party from the APE department.  Congratulations to all the participants for helping to spread holiday cheer!
