Springbrook's Second Annual Gifts Unwrapped Art Show

On Thursday, December 11, Springbrook will be hosting its 2nd Annual Community Art Show: Gifts Unwrapped—Celebrating Diversity through Creative Expression. Self-expression is a human trait that all human beings can relate to in some way, regardless of their age or ability. We are committed to serving not only our families and individuals, but our surrounding communities as well. As a result, the Gifts Unwrapped art show is open to all who wish to participate. The exhibition will run from December 11 – 19, 2014 at our Oneonta campus (formerly Saint Mary’s School), and is free and open to the public. On December 11, there will be a special opening reception.

Springbrook is announcing a call for work in the following categories: Drawing/Illustration, Painting, Photography, Ceramics, and Sculpture. Artwork can be any size and must be labeled with the artist’s name on the back. Submissions will be accepted until December 1, at noon. Schools are welcome to submit work on behalf of their students, but to ensure all who enter have a chance to participate, there may be only one entry per artist. All initial entry forms must be submitted online. The entry form, along with additional information can be found at www.springbrookny.org/artshow. Springbrook will contact the person who submitted the form soon after it has been reviewed. As long as there is space available, all properly submitted works will be accepted. Once accepted, work must be delivered to the Springbrook Oneonta Campus at 5588 State Highway 7, Oneonta, weekdays, between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. This is a non-juried art show.

Springbrook would like to remind artists to be mindful of content, as this event is being held for a general audience. The organization reserves the right to make final exhibition decisions based on content and appropriateness. Please click here for submission guidelines and entry form, or you may call Springbrook at 607-286-7171, ext. 370 with questions, or for more information.

In 2013, we were pleased to show work from over 40 artists. We look forward to another successful Gifts Unwrapped Art Show this year!
