105 Campus Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820
Oneonta, NY – Springbrook, a provider of innovative supports for people with developmental disabilities, is proud to announce its participation in the “Hannaford Helps” Reusable Bag Program.
The “Hannaford Helps” reusable bag fundraiser will run until December 31, 2015. It is a new program intended to generate additional revenue and awareness for nonprofits that have helped to make a difference in their local communities. The blue reusable bags cost $2.29 each and for every “Hannaford Helps” bag purchased at the 705 State Highway 28 Oneonta Hannaford, Springbrook will receive a $1 donation. The blue reusable bags are available at select registers in the store. Oneonta Hannaford spokesman, Eric Blom says, "Hannaford is excited about the Hannaford Helps bag program because it provides customers with a way to help the environment and to contribute money toward important local causes at the same time." He continues, "Since a substantial portion of the purchase price is being donated locally, we believe that Hannaford Helps bags can make a real difference in our community."
Springbrook has a minimum goal of raising $500 during the program, or 500 bags total. Proceeds from this program will be used to provide additional funding and field trip opportunities for Springbrook’s Kids Unlimited Preschool students. Upon hearing of the organization’s nomination for the program, Springbrook CEO, Patricia Kennedy, said: “It is great to know that our commitment to our mission has helped to strengthen our business partnerships and relationships with local community members. We thank the Oneonta Hannaford’s Community Relations Department for choosing Springbrook to be the first beneficiary in this great new program.”
