New Hire Orientation: A Positive New Employee Experience

At Springbrook our Staff Development team makes ‘New Hire Orientation’ fun, interesting, exciting, painless, and as simple as possible.  New employees receive a wonderful week-long introduction to our agency as well as setting the foundation to begin providing valuable services to our participants.
With our training and information, our new employees learn how to do great work and add great value to our agency from day one.  Our Staff Development team, along with a variety of other staff, delivers a comprehensive orientation program to assist new employees in adjusting to their new roles, work environment and to instill a positive attitude and motivation at the onset.
Using feedback collected from our employees, we have extended our ‘New Hire Orientation’ from 3 days to 5 days in order to cover the topics new employees wanted and needed to learn.  As a new employee you will learn about topics such as:

  • Fire Safety
  • Meal Planning
  • Lifting and Body Mechanics
  • Vehicle Safety
  • Medical Issues
  • Sensitivity Training
  • Pool Safety
After three months, our Staff Development team follows-up with each new employee to ensure that they have received the training and information they need to do their very best every day at Springbrook.
