105 Campus Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820
On Saturday, May 2, a group of SUNY Oneonta students volunteered their time to beautify the front gardens of one of Springbrook’s facilities, which houses a preschool and two day habilitation programs. With the help and supervision of Jim Murdoch, Teri Wells and Caitlin Kennett of Sprinbrook’s maintenance department, the eight students weeded, planted, mulched and watered two large raised flower beds. Nearly 100 plants, including tiger lilies and hostas, were graciously donated by a Springbrook staff member for the project. The gardens will be maintained by the participants and staff of the day habilitation programs. Thank you to the SUNY Oneonta “Into the Streets” program, Henry Krol for the use of his dump truck and Kristen Wells for volunteering and acting as our photographer. Be sure to stop by and admire the new and improved gardens!
