Communicating Beyond Words

On May 17, 2008, Springbrook hosted its third annual gala event at the historic Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, New York.

The event and theme for the evening "Communicating Beyond Words " was a rousing success with a capacity crowd of family, friends, staff, community and corporate leaders.

Tom Maggs Springbrook Foundation Board Member welcomed gala attendees and talked movingly about the late Walter Rich and Karine M. Rich.

Senator James Seward presented the 2008 Springbrook Emblem Award to Karine M. Rich of Cooperstown, New York.

The Springbrook Emblem Award acknowledges and celebrates remarkable individuals whose lives show and indeed are emblematic of, an admirable balancing of hard work, love of family, social involvement, and dedication to Springbrook’s mission.
