August Employee Spotlight: Binghamton Office Staff

This month, we would like to introduce three new members of the Springbrook team, who will be providing support from our new Binghamton location.

LisaG-300x200.jpgLisa Gavazzi joined Springbrook in April as a Consolidated Supports and Services Program Coordinator. She has an Associate’s Degree in General Education from Guilford Technical Community College, a Bachelor’s in Public Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Master’s Degree in Project Management from Colorado Technical University. Lisa, who says she became “interested in working as a CSS Coordinator after exploring these services for my disabled child,” has been working with people with developmental disabilities for three years and in 2012, became certified through the New York State Association of Community and Residential Agencies (NYSACRA).

MeredithM-300x219.jpgMeredith Muzik is a Consolidated Supports and Services Coordinator at Springbrook. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from Skidmore College. Meredith has several years of experience in working with people and understands how to navigate the medical billing world, thanks to her past work at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown and Boston Medical Center. Of her choice to work at Springbrook, she says, “I noticed Springbrook while I was driving by one day and after doing some research, I realized that it would be a wonderful place to work.” And this year, after completing her undergraduate education, she joined Springbrook!

SarahW-300x248.jpgSarah Wilkinson received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from SUNY Broome and a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling from Davis College. She decided to make the change from providing services to people to helping them find and receive services and supports as a Medicaid Service Coordinator “after searching for resources within the community to help my own child.” It was then that she understood the importance of the parents’ perspective in homes with people with developmental disabilities.

Springbrook is excited to be bringing services to Binghamton and we are glad to welcome Lisa, Meredith, and Sarah to the team. Their heartfelt commitment and skills are qualities essential to ensuring that the individuals and families we support attain their personal goals and dreams.
