Springbrook Among Otsego County Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Award Recipients

On Thursday, September 27, the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce announced its annual business award recipients at a press conference at The Family Engagement Center at Springbrook’s main campus in Oneonta The Family Engagement Center at Springbrook itself was the recipient of the Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield Breakthrough Business of the Year. This award is a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit and is given to a business or individual in Otsego County that has shown innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and growth potential.

The Family Engagement Center at Springbrook is being recognized for partnering with local businesses on a transformational project that provides current Springbrook families with a unique place to nurture their familial relationships. Families of nearly 80 residential students making long trips to visit loved ones can now arrive at The Family Engagement Center at Springbrook and have a place to recreate home by baking cookies, watching a movie or just spending needed quiet time together.

Springbrook, along with fellow award winners Keller Williams Upstate NY Properties (18th Annual Small Business of the Year Award), Allison Homler (Hartwick College Intern of the Year), and Matthew Colville (SUNY Oneonta Intern of the Year) will be honored at the Chamber’s Small Business Banquet that will be held on Thursday, November, 16 2017 at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown. Cocktail reception with cash bar begins at 5:45 pm. A new feature this year is that the cocktail reception will transition to a networking mixer, featuring entertainment by Edgewater. Guests will enjoy a harvest of culinary delights, including turkey and all the trimmings in keeping with the theme “Giving Thanks to Those who Make Otsego County Great!”
