Employee Assistance Program
- Eight Sick days, cumulative up to 180 days
- Benefit Time is paid time for vacations, holidays and personal time away from work
- Professional staff earn 25 days of benefit time per year with an additional day per year for the first 5 years
- All other non-education staff earn 160 hours of Benefit Time per year with an additional 8 hours per year for the first 10 years
- Education and Preschool staff are given predetermined days off based on an academic calendar with an additional 14 hours of personal time per year
- Non-exempt residential employees will be compensated 1 1/2 times their normal hourly rate when required to work on specified holidays.
Benefit time is prorated for part time employees working a regular schedule of 18 hours or more weekly.
Springbrook offers health, dental, and vision insurance to employees on the first of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. There is a minimal charge for individual health insurance coverage for full time employees. There are four levels of coverage—employee, *employee + spouse, employee + children, and *family. Coverage is available to part time employees working a minimum of 18 hours a week on a cost-sharing basis. Family coverage is also available on a cost-sharing basis. Springbrook also offers dental coverage for a minimal charge for individual and family dental coverage. There are four levels of coverage—employee, employee + spouse, employee + children, and family.
*There is a spouse surcharge for employee covering their spouse when the spouse is eligible for medical coverage through their own employer.
This benefit is available to all employees on the 1st of the month, following 60 days of continuous employment with Springbrook. Employees may elect to defer a portion of their wages into the plan with Springbrook matching the first 5% (after a year of employment). Springbrook may contribute 2.5% into the plan. Employees are fully vested in the plan after only 3 years.
All full time employees receive a group term life insurance policy equal to one times their gross yearly wages. Employees have the option of purchasing additional life insurance coverage for themselves and their dependents through payroll deductions.
All employees are eligible to participate in a voluntary payroll deposit program, which allows employees to deposit their net pay directly into any number of bank accounts of their choice. In addition, Springbrook is happy to offer the Rapid! Pay Card which gives employees instant access to their payroll funds without the need for a bank. The Rapid! Pay Card can be used like a credit card or debit card. Direct Deposit and the Rapid! Pay Card to two smart, easy, and convenient alternatives to paper checks.
Through the Springbrook Scholars program, eligible full time employees have the opportunity to earn a graduate degree in Special Education, Human Development, or an ABA certification while working for Springbrook and we will pay your tuition. To qualify for the Springbrook Scholars program you must meet Springbrook’s employment requirements or be a current employee in good standing; work in the appropriate program (if applicable); hold a qualifying degree; and meet specific graduate school admissions requirements. Admission into the Springbrook Scholars program is highly competitive, not all individuals interested in the program will be accepted.
In addition to the innovative Springbrook Scholars program, Springbrook is proud to offer all full time employees with one year of service the opportunity to apply for tuition reimbursement for college courses relevant to key Springbrook positions like special education, therapies, and behavior analysis. A maximum of three courses per employee, per year may be reimbursed. Reimbursement is based on the grades achieved.
This program is available to all Springbrook employees and their family members. The main purpose of the EAP is to help people deal with problems that they are unable to resolve on their own. This service offers personal, professional, and highly confidential help. These services are provided at no cost to the employee.
This is available to all Springbrook employees for any absence from work caused by a non-work related illness or injury exceeding seven days.
This program is available to provide assistance to members of the sick bank in the event of a personal or family illness where the employee’s sick time and benefit time has been exhausted. Employees are eligible to join the Sick Bank after one year of employment.
Various work schedules are available throughout Springbrook including full time (8 and 10 hour shifts), part time (14 to 34 hours per week) and substitute status (as needed basis) covering a wide variety of shifts and locations throughout Springbrook's service area. The Education and Preschool programs follow a regular school calendar with a six-week summer session.
