Wright House

The highly specialized Golisano Program bridges home and school. With shared staff moving with students from home to school and back home again, the program provides a 24-hour therapeutic environment. This seamless transition provides ample learning opportunities across all environments, enabling students to become as independent as possible.

Taylor House

Each GEMS residence is beautifully furnished, has a unique atmosphere, and provides 24 hour staffing and nursing support. Nestled into the pine trees on campus, Taylor House is just one example of how each GEMS home reflects the individuality and flair of the students who live in it.

School at Springbrook

Imagine rolling hills, green fields, summer sunshine, pine trees, crisp winter air, walking paths, and homes overlooking a lush green valley. You don’t have to imagine. Springbrook’s 200-acre campus, located among the hills outside of Oneonta, NY is a remarkable setting for all types of learning.

Administrative Building

This 1850s farmhouse is the heart of the Springbrook community. Donated by our founder, Harriet Parish Smith, the building was home to the original Upstate Baptist Home for Children. Today it serves as Springbrook’s administrative hub. Offices located in the building include: Development, Executive, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Marketing.

Medical Needs Home

The newest home on campus is space for our residential students with high medical needs. Unique features of this breathtaking home include an open floor plan with wide halls, single bedrooms, secure medication storage, moveable kitchen island, roll-under kitchen countertops, and an integrated fire detection system.

Caitlin's Way Playground

Caitlin’s Way Playground is a favored spot among The School’s 100 students. The playground serves as an integral part of the Adaptive Physical Education program, which uses physical fitness to give students the tools they need to physically acclimate to the stimulating world around them.
