Policy Reminder April 2018 - Referral Bonus

At Springbrook, we have found that employee referrals are an effective way for recruiting quality candidates. The purpose of the Employee Referral Bonus Program is to provide an incentive award to a current employee in a full-time equivalent position who brings new talent to the agency by referring applicants who are subsequently selected and successfully employed.

What type of jobs are eligible for this award program and what is the award?

All positions at Springbrook may be eligible for a $400 employee referral award. If the candidate you referred is hired, you will receive a referral award at six months (50%) and one year (50%).

Who can be referred?

Candidates are eligible for employee referral provided they:

  •  are not currently employed by Springbrook in any capacity, including temporary;
  •  have not been previously employed by Springbrook; or,
  • have not been referred previously by someone else.

How do I refer someone?

The process of referring a candidate is simple. Just complete the Employee Referral Form and send it to your HR Business Partner. If you refer more than one candidate, you need to complete a separate form for each person. You may refer someone only one time.

The applicant must indicate that you referred them on their online application. When asked, “How did you hear about this position?” on the application, the individual should select the Employee Referral button and enter your name in the blank field.
