If sleep is cut short, the body does not have time to complete all of the phases needed for muscle repair, memory consolidation and release of hormones regulating growth and appetite. Then we wake up less prepared to concentrate, make decisions, or engage fully in everyday life not to mention emotional control.

It's a basic necessity of life, as important to our health and well-being as air, food, and water!

  • Try to develop a habit of going to bed at the same time every night.
  • Avoid bright screens for at least one hour before bed.
  • Make a goal of 6-7 hours of sleep per night.
