Coming Home – The Campaign for Springbrook
“You can never go home again.” Or so they say. But through Coming Home: The Campaign for Springbrook, we are ready to prove them wrong. The Coming Home expansion project will create space on our main campus for 36 students, 24 of whom are currently placed out-of-state, far away from their families, while continuing to improve services to our current students.
Springbrook launched the $5 million Coming Home Campaign in late 2006 to help fund its $20+ million expansion project. We immediately gained tremendous momentum, thanks to a generous $2.5 million dollar-for-dollar Matching Challenge Grant from Mr. B. Thomas Golisano, Paychex Founder and Buffalo Sabres owner. Mr. Golisano pledged to match every dollar received from donors, effectively doubling all other campaign donations.
Springbrook has pledged to raise $5 million in support of our expansion through Coming Home: The Campaign for Springbrook. We know that the quality of life and care these children need is beyond even New York’s strict residential schooling regulations. With the funds raised through the Coming Home campaign, we will surpass current state standards, providing a safe, nurturing environment for New York’s most fragile children.
Already we have received overwhelming support. Thanks to the encouragement and generosity of our friends and community, we are well on our way to completing the Coming Home campaign. But we are not there yet. With only $150,000 left to raise (as of June 16, 2010), we need your help.
With your assistance, we will bring children home. With your kindness, we will meet the needs of children with autism. With your support, we will ensure that families and children count on finding a home at Springbrook…for a lifetime.
